My name is Jenny Martin. I am 26 years old and have been playing piano since I was in 3rd grade. I have a music education degree from Grove City College. I majored in clarinet, but I took 2 years of piano and 3 1/2 years of voice while I was in college. I currently work at Penn Christian Academy as the PreK-6 music teacher where I teach band, choir, orchestra, general music, and more! In the past, I have music and vocal directed numerous musicals, co-direct a theater camp with my sister, and directed numerous musicals.
I had a major wrist surgery my senior year of high school. Because of this, I lost some of my ability and have been unable to regain part of it. However, by playing piano, I was able to retrain my wrist to play. Piano and I have a very special bond because of how it helped me get through my physical therapy process and sped up recovery.
I began teaching piano lessons in 2013. I have now taught piano, voice, music theory, acting, saxophone, and more! I've had students as young as three clear up to adults! I love teaching and love music. If you're looking for a laid back, educated, exciting teacher, you're in the right place!
I teach at my home in Butler, PA. If this location does not work for you, during the summer I also teach at Valencia United Methodist Church one day a week. Let me know which one works best for you!
